Abstract<\/h3>\n

The major objective of the present work is to conduct a techno-financial feasibility study for a \u2018Green Hydrogen\u2019 production unit located at the Jorf Lasfar complex. In this project, the PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolyzer technology was chosen over alkaline and other electrolyzer types, due to its compact design, fast response time and high purity of hydrogen produced [2]. A mathematical model of a Silyzer-200 PEM electrolyzer [3] was developed afterwards using the open-source software SAM (System Advisor Model). This numerical model was validated by comparing the simulation results with the literature ones [2], [4]. Different hybrid configurations were considered, by combining the existing PV and wind turbine models in SAM with the Silyzer-200 electrolyzer model. Finally, in order to evaluate the performance of the system, a Techno-energetic study was conducted, where the term \u2018Utilization Factor\u2019 of the electrolyzer was calculated.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/h3>\n

L’objectif principal de ce travail est de r\u00e9aliser une \u00e9tude de faisabilit\u00e9 technico-\u00e9conomique pour une unit\u00e9 de production d’hydrog\u00e8ne vert situ\u00e9e dans le complexe de Jorf Lasfar. Dans ce projet, la technologie de l’\u00e9lectrolyseur PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie par rapport aux \u00e9lectrolyseurs alcalins et aux autres types d’\u00e9lectrolyseurs, en raison de sa conception compacte, de son temps de r\u00e9ponse rapide et de la grande puret\u00e9 de l’hydrog\u00e8ne produit [2]. Un mod\u00e8le math\u00e9matique d’un \u00e9lectrolyseur PEM Silyzer-200 [3] a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 \u00e0 l’aide du logiciel libre SAM (System Advisor Model). Ce mod\u00e8le num\u00e9rique a \u00e9t\u00e9 valid\u00e9 en comparant les r\u00e9sultats de la simulation avec ceux de la litt\u00e9rature [2], [4]. Diff\u00e9rentes configurations hybrides ont \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9es, en combinant les mod\u00e8les de PV et d’\u00e9oliennes existants dans SAM avec le mod\u00e8le d’\u00e9lectrolyseur Silyzer-200.
