Abstract<\/h3>\n

Nowadays, the world is facing an increase in population that is creating more household waste production and energy needs to satisfy. Thus, the energy recovery of waste has become essential. In this study, we worked on a technical-economic evaluation of the potential of bio-hydrogen production from the fermentable fraction of household waste and municipal leachate in Morocco. A comparative study of the different ways of energy recovery from household waste was carried out, and it appeared that a biological way with a combination of dark fermentation and photo-fermentation is the most suitable for our case. Through a simulation by the SuperPro Designer software, and after considering the different Physico-chemical properties of the leachate of the Fez landfill, we found a production of 400 kg of biohydrogen per year. The installation produces 1 ton of carbon equivalent per year but avoids more than 300 tons of carbon equivalent via methane and nitrous oxide emissions.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/h3>\n

Aujourd’hui, le monde est confront\u00e9 \u00e0 une augmentation de la population qui engendre une production accrue de d\u00e9chets m\u00e9nagers et des besoins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques \u00e0 satisfaire. Ainsi, la valorisation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des d\u00e9chets est devenue indispensable. Dans cette \u00e9tude, nous avons travaill\u00e9 sur une \u00e9valuation technico\u00e9conomique du potentiel de production de bio-hydrog\u00e8ne \u00e0 partir de la fraction fermentescible des d\u00e9chets m\u00e9nagers et des lixiviats municipaux au Maroc. Une \u00e9tude comparative des diff\u00e9rentes voies de valorisation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des d\u00e9chets m\u00e9nagers a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e, et il s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 qu’une voie biologique avec une combinaison de fermentation noire et de photo-fermentation est la plus adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 notre cas. A travers une simulation par le logiciel Super Pro Designer, et apr\u00e8s avoir pris en compte les diff\u00e9rentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physico-chimiques du lixiviat de la d\u00e9charge de F\u00e8s, nous avons descell\u00e9 une production de 400 kg de bio hydrog\u00e8ne par an.
