Abstract<\/h3>\n

In this work, a new approach linked to the production of hydrogen by electrolysis of water vapor at very high temperature using a technology associating concentrated photovoltaic thermal system, parabolic through, and solar tower was proposed. The study was carried out by establishing the equations for the conservation of mass and energy in the various components constituting the thermal power plant and the electrolysis plant. Transient state simulations are carried out for two production sites in Morocco, Tangier with a Mediterranean climate and Midelt which is characterized by a semi-arid climate. The results showed that the Midelt thermal power plant offers the best technical and economic performance compared to Tangier. In fact, an increase of 8 and 6% was noted in terms of electricity produced by the Rankine cycle and by the photovoltaic field of the Midelt power plant compared to that of Tangier. The overall efficiency of \u201csolar to electricity\u201d was 14 and 13.8% for the Midelt and Tangier sites, respectively. The capacity factor was 32% for the Midelt plant and 29% for the Tangier one. Results indicated that Levelized costs of electricity and hydrogen for the Midelt plant were U$0.057\/kWh and U$2.96\/kg, respectively. The internal rate of return was 21% for the Midelt project and 17% for the Tangier one, an incremental IRR value of 22% between the two projects. Finally, the proposed production strategy can result in a significant reduction in the cost of hydrogen and electricity linked to the use of renewable sources.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/h3>\n

Dans ce travail, une nouvelle approche li\u00e9e \u00e0 la production d’hydrog\u00e8ne par \u00e9lectrolyse de vapeur d’eau \u00e0 tr\u00e8s haute temp\u00e9rature \u00e0 l’aide d’une technologie associant syst\u00e8me thermique photovolta\u00efque concentr\u00e9, capteur cylindro- parabolique et tour solaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9e. L’\u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en \u00e9tablissant les \u00e9quations de conservation de la masse et de l’\u00e9nergie dans les diff\u00e9rents composants constituant la centrale thermique et l’installation d’\u00e9lectrolyse. Des simulations en r\u00e9gime transitoire sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9es pour deux sites de production au Maroc, la ville de Tanger ayant un climat m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en et Midelt qui se caract\u00e9rise par un climat semi-aride. Les r\u00e9sultats ont montr\u00e9 que la centrale thermique de Midelt offre de meilleures performances techniques et \u00e9conomiques par rapport \u00e0 celle de Tanger. En effet, une augmentation de 8 et 6% a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9e en termes d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 produite par le cycle de Rankine et par le champ photovolta\u00efque de la centrale de Midelt par rapport \u00e0 Tanger. Le rendement global \u00ab solaire-\u00e0-\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00bb \u00e9tait de 14 et 13,8 % pour les sites de Midelt et Tanger, respectivement. Le facteur de capacit\u00e9 \u00e9tait de 32 % pour l’usine de Midelt et 29 % pour celui de Tanger. Les r\u00e9sultats ont indiqu\u00e9 que les co\u00fbts actualis\u00e9s de l’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de l’hydrog\u00e8ne pour la centrale de Midelt \u00e9taient de 0,057 $ U\/kWh et de 2,96 $ U\/kg, respectivement. Le taux de rentabilit\u00e9 interne a \u00e9t\u00e9 de 21 % pour le projet Midelt et 17 % pour celui de Tanger, soit un TRI incr\u00e9mental de 22 % entre les deux projets.
